Rogue Valley Holiday Lights

Service Terms & Roof-Safe Guarantee

Effective October 2026 · Applies to all Rogue Valley Holiday Lights bookings · Questions? Text (541) 862-1050.

The short version: we install temporary holiday lights with removable clips — never nails, screws, or staples. The lights become your property. We take them down in January. You keep a working outdoor outlet in good condition, and you don't modify the install. We carry general liability insurance. What follows is the full terms you agree to when you book.

1. Scope — Temporary, Non-Invasive Decorating Only

All services are temporary, removable seasonal decorating: installation of lighting using polymer shingle tabs, gutter clips, and magnetic mounts, plugged into existing exterior GFCI outlets. We do not perform construction, structural alteration, repair, or electrical work, and we never use nails, screws, staples, or other permanent fasteners. This scope is intentional and non-negotiable — it is the safest way to put lights on a home.

2. Roof-Safe Guarantee

If any clip or product we install causes damage to shingles, gutters, or fascia, report it to us within the 48-hour inspection window below (or immediately upon takedown). We will repair or compensate for damage clearly caused by our materials or workmanship, subject to the insurance and limitations in Sections 7–8.

3. Ownership — "Buy & Keep"

For all-inclusive packages, the custom-cut lighting strands, bulbs, cords, timer, and storage tote become your property upon full payment. Takedown service (Section 6) is included for the current season. We make no claim on your lights and there are no rental or storage fees.

4. Booking, Deposits & Payment

5. Your Responsibilities

6. Weather, Schedule & Takedown

7. Insurance & Limitation of Liability

We carry general liability insurance including products and completed-operations coverage, and we stand behind our workmanship.

To the maximum extent permitted by Oregon law: (a) our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amounts paid under our insurance plus the contract price of your job; (b) we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including loss of use, spoilage, lost enjoyment, or events downstream of a defect; (c) we are not liable for damage arising from pre-existing conditions described in Section 5, from your electrical system, or from modifications made after we leave.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

8. Mutual Responsibilities for Claims

9. Photos & Marketing

We photograph installs for quality records. With your permission (given at booking or by reply text), we may share exterior photos of the finished install in our marketing without naming your address. Say "no photos" at any time and we'll honor it — quality-record photos are never published.

10. Mid-Season Support

Text a photo of a failed bulb and we'll swap it on our next trip through your area, free, through the season. If strands sag or clips pop loose from normal winter weather, same deal — send a photo, we re-secure them free through the season.

11. Disputes

We're neighbors; let's keep it that way. Any dispute first goes to a good-faith conversation, then to mediation if needed, with unresolved amounts below $10,000 going to Oregon small claims court in Josephine County. Oregon law governs. If any term is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

12. The Whole Deal

These terms plus your written quote are the entire agreement. We may update these terms season to season; the version at your booking applies to your job.
