Good questions, straight answers
Do you use nails, screws, or staples on my roof?
Never. Removable polymer shingle tabs, gutter clips, and magnetic mounts only — and lights plug into your existing outdoor GFCI outlet. Nothing penetrates your roof, gutters, or fascia, so your roof warranty stays intact.
Do I keep the lights?
Yes — that's the whole model. The custom-cut commercial C9 strands, bulbs, timer, and storage tote are yours after install. No rental fees, no obligation next year. Hang them yourself someday, or call us for a labor-only re-install.
When do you take the lights down?
Takedown is included. We schedule the January date with you when we confirm your install, then come back, remove every clip, and pack everything into your labeled tote in your garage or covered porch.
How does the instant estimate work?
We trace your front roofline from satellite building data and price it against our published tiers. It's an estimate: we confirm exact footage and peak count before install, and your price locks at that tier — it won't creep up.
Can you install lights I already own?
If they're working outdoor-rated LED strands, yes. We test every strand on the ground before it goes up. Labor-only packages start at $229 with the early-bird promo.
How does payment work?
50% deposit — Venmo, Cash App, or a card link — reserves your date and funds your custom light order. Balance due when the install is done and you're happy.
What if it rains on install day?
We reschedule, free. In the valley that usually costs a day or two. Your price and slot hold either way.
What if a bulb quits mid-season?
Text us a photo. We swap failed bulbs on our next trip through your area, free, all season. Commercial SMD LEDs rarely quit, but we stand behind them.
Do I need to be home for the install?
Nope. We need the driveway or street, and an outdoor outlet. We text photos when it's done.
Do you clean gutters too?
$99 with any light package, $179 standalone, moss treatment from $149. Roofing-pro crew, no-mess cleanup, downspout check included.
Will you re-install my lights next year?
Anytime — labor-only, currently $229–$439 depending on size. Returning customers who book by October 1 get first pick of dates.
Are you insured? What happens if something goes wrong?
Yes — general liability insurance including products and completed-operations coverage. Our Service Terms spell out exactly how we handle the rare problem: report within 48 hours of install, and anything caused by our materials or workmanship is ours to fix, backed by insurance. What we can't own: pre-existing electrical or structural issues, or modifications made after we leave.
Who's responsible if my outlet or wiring is faulty?
You are — that's why we visibly test your GFCI outlet at every install and photograph it. We're decorators, not electricians: we plug into your existing exterior outlets and are not responsible for hidden wiring defects, tripped interior breakers, or conditions we couldn't reasonably detect. If your outlet won't pass the test, we'll tell you before we start.
